Blue screen, spyware threat?

yesterday a blue screen appeared on my desktop with a yellow box with "Warning! spyware detected on your computer! Install an antivirus or spyware remover to clean your computer"

i used my antivirus to scan the computer 3 times, it found no spyware. the screen always appears still even though i've scanned my computer lots of times, what am supposed to do?

Turn your pc off, immediately after turning back on, keep tapping F8 key until Advanced Start menu appears. Choose SAFE MODE w/ NETWORKING. After booting into your profile, download following programs:

Combo FIx

Run in that order. You should get rid of all spyware.

An anti virus does not remove any spyware. It just remove viruses , worms and trojans. If you want to remove spyware and adware , it is recommended to use Ad-Aware 2007 and Spybot-Search and Destroy.
I'm actually more concerned about this warning you received. Are you sure it wasn't just a pop-up from a webpage? What operating system are you using? Windows *does not* produce error messages like that.
