Am I going to have to format my hard drive to get this stuff off?

My Norton antivirus subscription ended and I don't really wanna pay $115 for a renewal or the same amount for a different program atm. I have AdAware and Spybot S%26D buuuuut they can scan for infections....not get rid of them. Am I going to have to format my hard drive, or do I have other options??? help please :(

AVG is pretty good as a free download.

Use some other software. AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Spybot, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info
avg free ..get rid of nortons program on your comp.go to avg free download ..
